"Video Store Memories" is an ongoing collection of artworks paying tribute to the golden age of video rental stores and the iconic movies many of us discovered through VHS.
In this tribute to the 90's horror classic "Candyman", the head is made using a vintage VHS and polymer clay, then painted with acrylics. The eyes are made of glass and the hair made of magnetic tape.
The background is painted using acrylics on a 1cm-thick MDF board. The body is an original illustration first painted on 224g/m2 "Canson" paper then placed on the background. To enhance the 3D effect in addition to the VHS head, the hooked arm is sculpted in polymer clay and the letters "V", "H", and "S" are printed on plexiglass. The sculpted arm is attached to the painting by a magnet to make it adjustable and safer to carry around.

"Video Store Memories" est une collection de sculptures murales rendant hommage à l'âge d'or des vidéo-clubs et aux films cultes que beaucoup d'entre nous ont découvert via la VHS.
Dans cet hommage au film culte des années 90 "Candyman" , la tête est réalisée à partir d'une authentique VHS d'époque et de pâte polymère, avant d'être peinte à l'acrylique. Les yeux sont en verre et les cheveux en bande magnétique.
Le fond est peint sur une planche de médium de 1cm d'épaisseur. Le corps est une illustration originale peinte dans un premier temps sur du papier "Canson" de 224g/m2 puis plaquée sur le fond. Afin de renforcer l'impression de relief en plus de la tête de cassette, le bras au crochet a été sculpté en pâte polymère et les lettre "V", "H" et "S" sont imprimées sur Plexiglas. le bras sculpté est rattaché à l'oeuvre par un aimant, le rendant repositionnable et plus sûr à transporter.
