"Video Store Memories" is an ongoing collection of artworks paying tribute to the golden age of video rental stores and the iconic movies many of us discovered through VHS.
In this tribute to the famous hockey-masked maniac, the head is created using a vintage VHS painted with acrylics and the mask is made from a VHS box. The eye is made of glass.
The body is an original illustration that is printed and placed on a 1cm-thick board. A coat of resin protects the whole and brings a glossy finish. The letters "V", "H", and "S" and the hands holding the axe are printed on plexiglass to enhance the 3D effect in addition to the VHS head.
Dimensions of the piece are: 32 x 44.5 cm

"Video Store Memories" est une collection de sculptures murales rendant hommage à l'âge d'or des vidéo-clubs et aux films cultes que beaucoup d'entre nous ont découvert via la VHS.
Dans cet hommage au fameux maniaque au masque de hockey, la tête est réalisées à partir d'une authentique VHS d'époque peinte à l'acrylique. Le masque est un boîtier VHS et les yeux sont en verre.
Le corps est une illustration originale imprimée puis plaquée sur une planche de 1cm d'épaisseur. Une fine couche de résine vient protéger le tout et donner une finition brillante. Les lettres "V", "H" et "S" ainsi que les mains tenant la hache sont imprimées sur plexiglas afin de renforcer l'impression de relief en plus de la tête de cassette.
